Timbuk2 is an awesome local bag and accessory manufacturer that has been supporting At The Crossroads for more than a decade with thousands of donated bags for our clients, among other things. Their beautiful and durable bags have truly become a staple of our organization. Sometimes, when we meet a new youth on the street, one of the first things we hear is “you the folks who have the cool bags for us?” Word travels fast. These bags are an amazing incentive for youth to start meeting with us, and play a significant role in helping us develop relationships with our clients. You can learn more about Timbuk2’s bag recycling program for At The Crossroads by clicking here.
However, Timbuk2 likes to do more than “just” donate hundreds of bags a year, and they found a new way to make an impact on our organization. At two recent trade shows in Las Vegas and Salt Lake City, they encouraged conference-goers to “Break up with their bag,” donate to At The Crossroads, and get a new Timbuk2 bag in return. To say it was successful is an understatement. They raised $5,000 for At The Crossroads, and got 250 bags donated for our clients, many of which have already been snapped up by our youth!
Thank you so much, Timbuk2, for all of the incredible things you do for ATC, and for caring about homeless youth in San Francisco!Tweet
