We Think Angelo Can
Support Angelo's SF Marathon Campaign while helping homeless youth
Goal
My goal is to run the SF Marathon on July 31st while raising money for At the Crossroads. To prepare I also plan to run the Kaiser Permanente 5K on February 6th, Emerald Across the Bay 12k on March 20th and the US Half Marathon on April 10th. WHOA!
In 2009 I raised $1,185 while returning to capoeira.
In 2010 I raised $1,772 while growing and cutting my hair to donate to children with cancer.
In 2011 I hope to raise $2,500!!!
I chose this goal because
I've recently become very serious about my health and fitness and I want to push myself even further. In the past I've considered the idea of running a marathon absolutely impossible, but now I want to challenge myself. ATC's I Think I Can Campaign has always been a great way for me to accomplish my goals and I'm excited to do it again!
I'm helping because
At The Crossroads is a fantastic organization that reaches out to homeless youth at their point of need and works with them to build healthy and fulfilling lives. I’ve been involved as an outreach volunteer for the past 3 years and have seen ATC’s great staff in action. They have helped hundreds of street youth turn their lives around, find housing, counseling, jobs, and become successful, engaged members of society. Their success stories are amazing.
About At The Crossroads
ATC walks the streets of San Francisco, reaching out to homeless youth and young adults on their turf. We work with young people who others have given up on, who would not get help without us. Since we started 13 years ago, we have worked with more than 5,000 youth, helping them build outstanding lives.
