We Think Anna Can
Support Anna's Churning Out Wee Paintings while helping homeless youth
Goal
To teach myself how to watercolor and make at least 3 paintings a week.
I chose this goal because
I have had a sort of "artist's block" in the last few years, but I really miss making work and I figured I should start small. So I am making small paintings with a small amount of materials. My hope is that by making small work on a regular basis, I will get back in the habit and go no place but up!
Having the support of friends and family to make more art, and at the same time being able to give back to the community around me, could not be better impetus.
I'm helping because
I tend to pass through San Francisco often, for varying amounts of time. Even though it is not entirely my home, I want to be able to give resources back to the area that I so love to spend time in. I also feel so thankful for all the amazing resources I received as a youth (and still do receive), and hope I can return the goodness in some way.
About At The Crossroads
ATC walks the streets of San Francisco, reaching out to homeless youth and young adults on their turf. We work with young people who others have given up on, who would not get help without us. Since we started 13 years ago, we have worked with more than 5,000 youth, helping them build outstanding lives.
