Go go go Avner! Sorry it took me so long. I can relate to your description of "up" and "down" CYCLES (of life...). Have been on a "down," but I always know it cycles around. Here's to all our WHOLENESS cycles. Hugs back.

Goal

My goal to exercise three times a week is a life long goal which I have achieved and lost. A cycle of wins and losses. Surely many of you can relate. So this time, I'm exercising for At The Crossroads and the bi-product will be a healthier Avner. Sounds so simple. Lots of work ahead.

For every $100 in donations we raise together, I'll add another week to my 10 week commitment of exercising three times a week. If I reach my goal of $10,000, that means I'll be exercising three times a week for the next 2 years.

If I were Rob Gitin at this point I would say "Here's your chance everyone, make me sweat like I've never sweated before." Donate as soon as you can and make me work.

I chose this goal because

I'm helping because

I have made a commitment to nurture and develop ATC into being able to reach a much larger number of clients. ATC reaches homeless youth directly and in a most personal way. Our nightly unconditional acts of kindness garner attention and focus from our clients. They know we are different. We don't preach and lecture. We bond and relate. It was unconditional acts of kindness from just a handful of people that made the difference in my life as a teenager. Things could have turned out a lot worse for me without those moments of pure love, free acts of kindness .

About At The Crossroads

ATC walks the streets of San Francisco, reaching out to homeless youth and young adults on their turf. We work with young people who others have given up on, who would not get help without us. Since we started 13 years ago, we have worked with more than 5,000 youth, helping them build outstanding lives.
