Goal

Introduce twenty new people to At The Crossroads and help the organization support its mission.

I chose this goal because

Given the many blessings the two of us experienced in 2008, we find ourselves eager to help At The Cross Roads survive and thrive through and beyond 2009. We have joined the ATC “I Think I Can Campaign” in order to raise awareness and funds for the organization.

I'm helping because

ATC is a 10-year-old organization founded by a Stanford classmate of Camille’s. While many Stanford graduates in Silicone Valley have engineered impressive ways to help themselves, ATC is a phenomenal program aimed at helping others. The mission of At The Crossroads is to reach out to at-risk youth on their own turf and on their own terms, giving them the opportunities and tools they need to lead “outstanding lives.” From razors, to clean socks and clothes, peanut butter sandwiches, condoms, and a nonjudgmental ear, ATC provides support services to youths who might otherwise be left behind. ATC meets these youths on the street and maintains contact with them during and beyond their transitions into positive and productive futures. ATC’s success rate for long-term clients is phenomenal. Of the clients ATC has counseled for over one year, 74% have achieved stable housing, and 68% have either gone back to school or found employment, 76% have improved their legal income and 83% have improved their social network. Explore the ATC website for some remarkable individual success stories.

In a historical period when so many are in need, the at-risk youth served by ATC are even more likely to be left behind. We want to make sure that At The Crossroads has the tools and financial support it needs to help support clients as they work toward attaining the outstanding lives they deserve.

About At The Crossroads

ATC walks the streets of San Francisco, reaching out to homeless youth and young adults on their turf. We work with young people who others have given up on, who would not get help without us. Since we started 10 years ago, we have worked with more than 5,000 youth, helping them build outstanding lives.

Updates

We are up and running. Come join us help ATC!
