I thought about making 5 donations of $10 each so that I could get 5 wonderful soup recipes, but then I realized that would be petty. Instead I voe to make 2 donations of $25/each in hopes of starting your fund raising efforts for this wonderful organization, and to promote my goal for a healthier me. : )

I am jus starting my own fundraising for Team in Training, and I need to raise $3200! So I have now made it a policy to donate $10 to any donation solicitation that I receive. I would give more, but I am unemployed and not receiving any benefits. But I know every little bit counts. Good Luck!

Goal

Each week I'll make a healthy version of the soup or stew. If I get a donation I'll share the recipe.

So what should I make? I love a good challenge!

I chose this goal because

There was frost on my car window the morning before last. This weather makes me want to enjoy a good bowl of something soul warming. Commercial versions are usually so full of sodium that they're not healthy at all. Who doesn't need to eat healthier? I'm happy to do the research, the cooking, and eating to find the next great recipe.

Here's to good health!

I'm helping because

I've been volunteering with At the Crossroads for the last three and half years. They have this nutty idea that everyone deserves to have a life filled with passion, love, happiness, and health. ATC is fully committed to helping kids on the streets of San Francisco achieve their hopes and dreams, not just food and shelter. They go beyond subsistence to building an outstanding lives. One's worth living. The counselors at ATC model respect and nonjudgmental support with people who too often don't have any of this in their every day life. ATC needs our financial support. Play a part in making a better world. Please donate what you can.

About At The Crossroads

ATC walks the streets of San Francisco, reaching out to homeless youth and young adults on their turf. We work with young people who others have given up on, who would not get help without us. Since we started 13 years ago, we have worked with more than 5,000 youth, helping them build outstanding lives.

Imagine a hot bowl of steaming velvety carrot soup. It's orange and creamy. A little bit of spice could be nice. Or perhaps it has a little extra sweetness.

Wouldn't you like a new healthy recipe? Donate today.
