We Think Jason Can
Support Jason's Campaign - "Lose 2 1/2 lbs per month!" while helping homeless youth
Goal
Hey everyone,
I hope you can support me in this important endeavor. I'm raising money for an incredible charity, headed by my friend Rob Gitin, At the Crossroads. ATC provides much needed support and services to homeless youth in San Francisco, and has been around for almost 14 years now. ATC has served over 5,500 homeless youth in SF, and has worked more intensively (one-on-one) with more than 1,100 young people. It's an outstanding organization, doing very important work.
My goal is two-fold: to raise funds for ATC, and to reverse the "middle-age spread" that has made most of my wardrobe unwearable! I plan to average 2.5 lbs of weight loss per month, or 30 lbs by this time next year. December 23rd might seem like a strange time to start, but having a goal in mind, and your support, should help me avoid all the holidaytime goodies that tempt at every corner. Plus, it's a great time to donate and get a TAX DEDUCTION before the end of the year! (All donations to At the Crossroads are 100% tax-deductible)

I chose this goal because
Homelessness is a huge problem, particularly here in San Francisco. It's particularly difficult for homeless young people, many of whom are unable to work and are trying to make the most of their youth (teenage years and twenties). At the Crossroads helps thousands of homeless young people rebuild their lives and set a course for a brighter future.
2012 is also the year I turn forty (yes, 40), and the increase of middle-aged poundage will NOT go unchallenged! Well, at least not this year. I want to be in tip-top shape by the end of the year, and to fit into all those clothes that are collecting dust in my closet.
I'm helping because
I've donated to ATC over the last couple of years, but just now have the gumption to set a goal and commit to raising $3,000 for this terrific charity. I hope you can join me and help me support At the Crossroads, and shed some pounds!
About At The Crossroads
ATC walks the streets of San Francisco, reaching out to homeless youth and young adults on their turf. We work with young people who others have given up on, who would not get help without us. Since we started 13 years ago, we have worked with more than 5,000 youth, helping them build outstanding lives.
