We Think Marc Can
Support TINY BUBBLES, BIG IMPACT : Marc's Campaign to Conquer the Ukelele! while helping homeless youth
Goal
My goal is raise some money for ATC and to treat my family to the sweet sweet sounds of the ukelele at the same time. I have enrolled in an "Intro to the Ukelele" class at the Zambaleta Music School (one block from my house in the Mission) and with your support I will practice diligently and learn to play rock anthems and Hawaiian classics on my ukelele in 8 short weeks. If that's too advanced, or if my 8 month old son doesn't want to hear anything by Guns'n'Roses or Don Ho I'll take other requests too.
I chose this goal because
I've committed to raising money for ATC because there are over 5,000 homeless and unsuitably housed young people in San Francisco and ATC's work is crucially important in addressing their needs. I've chosen to take music classes because I played piano as a kid (and, for a mercifully brief time in junior high, the saxophone) and am envious of everyone who can pick up an instrument and have fun playing it. Also I have a hunch that the ukelele is going to be easier to pick up in a couple months than the harp or bassoon. (Hope I am not wrong about that).
I'm helping because
I believe San Francisco is a city not just for the wealthy but for everyone, and I want it to be a place I am even more proud to call home.
I've volunteered and contributed to ATC in the past and in every encounter I’ve been impressed by the ways in which I am educated, involved, and invited to deepen my engagement with ATC. More than that I appreciate the way in which my contributions are always valued by the hard-working staff.
THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING MY CAMPAIGN AND ATC!

About At The Crossroads
ATC walks the streets of San Francisco, reaching out to homeless youth and young adults on their turf. We work with young people who others have given up on, who would not get help without us. Since we started 13 years ago, we have worked with more than 5,000 youth, helping them build outstanding lives.
