We Think Shawn Can
Support How Shawn Got Her Room Back while helping homeless youth
Goal
How Shawn Got Her Room Back is the story of a woman who lost the will to deal with her worldly possessions many years ago.
With the support of friends and family Shawn will regain that will! Shawn will take you with her every step of the way as she embarks on the journey of a lifetime. The journey begins in the dangerously cluttered garage where many years ago (4 years and two months ago ) her belongings were abandoned. Help to liberate Shawn's belongings from the many years of neglect they have endured, help Shawn to get her room back all the while supporting a great organization!
Before and after pictures of each step in the process will be provided along with a detailed list of the stages of transformation that Shawn's room will be going through. Watch interviews with those who have lived with Shawn over the years and witnessed the devastation and above all else give her mother some peace of mind!
I chose this goal because
The madness must cease! I have wanted to go through my stuff and set up my room for ever and can never seem to make the commitment. I figure involving my friends, family and the best organization I have ever known is the best way to get myself to do what it is I need to do. It is a win/win situation for everyone involved.
I'm helping because
I have spent many years at ATC now and I still can't get over what an amazing organization it is. The staff and clients at ATC have had a profound impact on my life. The work that ATC does is empowering and honest and real. The work is endless and the pay is low but the clients, staff, volunteers, and all other people connected to ATC are truly amazing. It is an honor to be a part of such a unique and supportive organization.
About At The Crossroads
ATC walks the streets of San Francisco, reaching out to homeless youth and young adults on their turf. We work with young people who others have given up on, who would not get help without us. Since we started 10 years ago, we have worked with more than 5,000 youth, helping them build outstanding lives.
