Beth Koeneke

Beth Koeneke is a Senior Development Manager at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. She has worked in nonprofit event planning for more than 20 years, and holds a BA in Business Administration from Franklin & Marshall College. Beth first became involved with ATC when she joined our staff to coordinate our annual fundraising hike in 2014, which raised $115,000. She is excited to continue fundraising for ATC as a member of our Board.

Bianca Escalante

Bianca Escalante is a Senior Manager on GitHub’s Social Impact team where she spends her time overseeing the company’s local engagement initiatives and advocating for accessibility, inclusion, and diversity. Her intersectional lens combined with her experience in tech, lead to her expertise on how to create and foster diverse and inclusive environments both online and in the real world. Prior to joining GitHub in 2015, she spent 18 years working in the nonprofit sector, mostly with organizations that provided educational opportunities for Black and Latino youth in STEM-related fields.

Board Chair

Catherine Covington is the Client Development Manager at RSF Social Finance. She is responsible for creating and implementing fundraising strategies for RSF’s programs and services, as well as active participation in client relationship management and field building. Catherine is the co-chair of the Bay Area Chapter of Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy, and a volunteer mentor with the Meritus College Fund.

Charlotte Johnson is Program Manager on Google’s Global Culture Programs team where she works on scaling cross-functional initiatives that help Google’s culture grow and blossom. She’s worked at Google for over ten years and supported a variety of people-related functions, including employee communications, internal events, and HR. Charlotte has a BA in American History from Harvard University.

She has been an entrepreneur in Silicon Valley through boom and bust and is excited to work for a company that supports non-profit organizations through product donations, employee volunteerism and more. Jeanine has a BA from MIT in Mathematics with Computer Science.

Kevin is an Associate at Nonprofit Finance Fund, where he originates a pipeline of impact investments in mission-oriented nonprofits and social enterprises, across various sectors including health, education and human services. Previously, he spent four years at a Canadian investment bank, working with large corporate clients in diversified industries. Kevin holds a BA from the Richard Ivey School of Business in Canada and is passionate about supporting organizations working with the most vulnerable in our communities.

Laurie Bernstein is Director of Workforce Services & Social Enterprise for Community Housing Partnership. She has been in the nonprofit world for ten years leading workforce programs, training initiatives, and social enterprises. Prior to nonprofit, her early career was as an executive in the retail industry. Laurie also holds an MBA in Sustainable Management from Presidio Graduate School.

Mandy Stewart is a Vice President / Research Analyst for Franklin Templeton Investments. She has worked with Franklin’s fixed income team for over 13 years, and she currently specializes in the not-for-profit, senior living industry. Mandy holds a BA in Political Economy of Industrialized Societies from the University of California at Berkeley, and a Masters in Economics from the University of San Francisco.

Rachel Marshall is a public defender at the Alameda County Public Defender’s Office. Rachel graduated from Brown University in 2004 and Stanford Law School in 2010, where she was a member of the Stanford Law Review and received numerous awards for her commitment to public interest work. Before attending law school, Rachel spent three years teaching high school in the South Bronx.

Sara Linderman is a VP of Strategy in the San Francisco office of Sterling Brands, a global design and brand strategy firm. Sara has over 10 years of research and marketing experience. She was a research analyst at best practices firm Corporate Executive Board before transitioning into marketing, where she worked as a brand manager at Clorox and marketing director at a small media tech start-up. Sara holds an MBA from UCLA and an MS from Wake Forest University.

Jon Merriman is the co-founder and CEO of Merriman Holdings, Inc., where he is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the firm and focuses on working closely with the firm’s clients. Over the course of his finance career, he has served on more than 10 private and public company boards. He has been a frequent guest on Bloomberg TV as well as CNBC’s show “Fast Money”, and a regular contributor to financial publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, and The Daily Deal.

Kevin McCracken is the co-founder and COO of Social Imprints, a full service custom printer that provides employment for at risk adults, including the formerly incarcerated and recovering addicts. In 2004, Kevin received a Neighborhood Leader award from Bank of America. He was a founding member of ATC’s Board, as well as a former client of ATC.

Lateefah Simon

Lateefah Simon is the President of the Akonadi Foundation. Previously, she was the Director of the Rosenberg Foundation’s California’s Future initiative, the Executive Director of the Center for Young Women’s Development (CYWD), and the Executive Director of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area. She also led the creation of San Francisco’s first reentry services division under the leadership of District Attorney Kamala D. Harris. An accomplished public speaker, Lateefah lectures across the country at top conferences and universities. She has served on numerous boards of directors and has received awards for her efforts including the MacArthur “Genius” Fellowship, inclusion in O Magazine’s first ever “Power List”, Ford Foundation’s Leadership for A Changing World, the Remarkable Woman Award from Lifetime Television, the Levi Strauss Pioneer Activist Fellowship, and the New Frontier Award from the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library.

Mary Gregory

Mary is vice-president and a senior program officer at Pacific Foundation Services, which provides administrative, program, accounting, and record-keeping services to family foundations. She has been a volunteer, board member, board president, staff member and/or fundraising consultant for approximately twenty different non-profit organizations. In 1997, she founded Mary’s List (www.maryslist.net), a web-based matching service for non-profit organizations that are seeking consultants. Mary lives in San Francisco with her husband Dan and her Labrador, Sazerac.
