Supplies are very important to our work—they are the first impression clients get of At The Crossroads on nighttime street outreach. They can be a huge motivator for clients to come into the office to have a one-to-one meeting with a counselor.
In many cases, offering supplies to our clients is the first step to building a relationship. Over time, as we have the chance to build trusting relationships with our clients, we can support them in identifying and achieving their goals, including improving their housing, addressing their mental health issues, and returning to school.
This winter, ATC is short on some critical supplies for our clients. Can you help us by hosting a supply drive at your work, place of worship, or school?
Here are some popular items that we need your help stocking this winter:
- Individually packed snacks: small bags of chips, granola bars, fruit snacks, rice krispies, and more
- Single-use razors
- Dental floss
- Travel-sized toothpaste
- Travel-sized deodorant
- Brand new, warm clothing
If you’re interested in hosting a drive, please email Carson at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
