A message from our Executive Director, Charles Lerner:
Recently, I hit 100 days as ATC’s new Executive Director.
You might be wondering—did he really count how many days he has been at ATC? The answer is yes because I place a great deal of significance on each day I am in this position. When you are on the streets, every day carries great risks and takes its toll. I often worry that those tasked to help our community’s most vulnerable lose sight of this urgency.
The truth is, homelessness in the Bay Area is a humanitarian crisis. I do not think it is an overstatement to say that the health, safety, and well being of our entire community is in peril. It is my belief that if we mobilize the right people in the right way, we CAN overcome challenges that seem insurmountable.
ATC will be stepping up and out this year and we want you to be involved. We want to hear from you more. We want to be in the same room with you more. On October 17th, I would like to invite you to join me and the rest of the ATC team, as well as ATC’s community of supporters over appetizers and a glass of wine.
This event is not a fundraiser and we promise there will be no long speeches. Instead, you will have a chance to hear ATC’s vision for the coming year and more importantly, to discuss ideas that push us to mobilize and think big and bold about solving our city’s most pressing issue.
What: Meet ATC’s new Executive Director, hear our bold plans for the upcoming year, and unite with other community members to tackle one of our city’s biggest challenges
When: October 17, 2019, 6-8 pm
Where: Okta HQ, 100 First Street, San Francisco
Please RSVP by October 5, 2019: http://bit.ly/beBoldWithATC
Thank you for everything you do to support ATC. Your investment is providing our community’s most vulnerable members with the dignity they deserve. I hope to see you on October 17th!
