  • Lori: What have I carried with me from my time at At The Crossroads…I think what I’ve really carried to every aspect of my life is just not pathologizing people. It’s really seeing people as individuals and also knowing that beyond all the evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care and all the clinical stuff that people do to work with people, I think one of the most important things that we should be doing that At The Crossroads does really well is: learn people’s names. [Laughs] I think getting a person’s name correct after meeting them one time, is one of the key things. I think At The Crossroads makes a really—makes it such an important piece of the work that you guys do and that we did, so that everybody’s seen as a person first and as a client second.
